QRSC High School Nordic Team
The Quarry Road Ski Club’s High School Team helps dedicated athletes develop their ski skills and build fitness in a fun team environment. QRSC Team has year round and seasonal training opportunities, as well as routine training camps and competition trips for athletes focusing on regional level events. This team is open to 9th - 12th graders, as well as recent graduates looking to continue training and racing.
Program fees do not include Quarry Road Trails season passes, which are required for all skiers ages 7 and up. Purchase your season passes here.
Financial Aid: Waterville residents are eligible for financial assistance for the winter 24/25 season through the Waterville Parks and Recreation Department’s Scholarship Fund. Please complete this application and return to the Waterville Parks and Recreation Office (6 Wentworth Ct, Waterville, ME 04901). Scholarship and financial assistance opportunities are limited, so please apply early. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and all applications are due by Dec. 1.

Summer Training '24
The summer training option is for athletes who are looking for structured coaching and training to help develop their fitness and technique. Summer training begins mid-June and runs until school begins in August / September.

Summer dryland training to prepare for the winter competition season. Practices include rollerskiing, running, biking, strength, technique work, and more. Summer training for 2024 goes from mid-June until late-August. Training locations and practices vary. 2-5 session per week. Most practices at 9:00am Tuesday-Friday. Note: Summer training is included for athletes that sign up for the Eastern Cup Program.
Program Cost $300
*Prior skiing and rollerskiing experience recommended but not required. Introductory rollerski lessons will be offered.
QRSC High School Nordic Team '24 - '25
The QRSC High School Team has year-round training and racing opportunities for dedicated skiers competing at the state and regional level. The training year begins at the end of the school year in June and runs until the last ski competitions in late-March. Athletes in this program focus on NENSA’s Eastern Cup Series and other championship races. This program includes full race support at all Eastern Cup Races, customized training plans, technique review sessions, and individual meetings. Skiers in this program are expected to keep an up to date training log. Skiers are required to have a NENSA and USSS license. Summer training begins at the conclusion of the school year in June, with 2-5 weekly practice sessions offered until the start of school in the fall. Fall training sessions will be 2-3 times per week. Winter training sessions are 5 days per week, Tuesdays - Fridays at 3:30pm and Saturday’s at 9:00am when we’re not attending a weekend race. There may be some exceptions to this schedule.
